Informationen über Exploring Buenos Aires
Puerto Madero was built in the late nineteenth century. Its goal was to support the old colonial port, that was in waters too shallow to handle larger cargo ships. Puerto Madero's usefulness as a port was short lived and would be replaced during the first decade of the twentieth century. Today, it is considered one of the most exclusive places in the city. After a rigorous revival period its streets are lined with high rise condos, restaurants, bars, cinemas and luxury hotels. Without a doubt it is an attraction not to be missed when visiting Buenos Aires.
